Ramp Program
The Ramps for Freedom Program helps individuals with disabilities maintain safe and independent access to their homes. Through this program, we build ramps or low-rise steps for people who have difficulty navigating stairs due to mobility limitations.
Our goal is to remove barriers that make entering and leaving a home difficult or unsafe. By providing accessible ramps and low-rise steps, we help individuals remain independent, reduce the risk of falls and improve overall accessibility.
This is an unfunded program and relies entirely on the generosity of public and private donations as well as sponsorships of local businesses. Each request is reviewed to determine need and eligibility within income guidelines. When approved, our ramp coordinator works with volunteers and community partners to construct an ADA compliant ramp or low-rise steps designed to meet the individual’s mobility needs. This program is made possible through the generous support of donations from our community.
