Independent Living
The WILL Center empowers people with disabilities to live independently through advocacy,
support, and community-based services.
We offer a range of services to support people with disabilities in achieving greater independence and
community inclusion.
Transition Services
We help individuals move from institutional settings into community-based living. Services address areas like housing, transportation, employment, and benefit access.
We also assist youth with disabilities in planning their move to adult life, including college or job
training.
Information and Referral
We connect individuals, organizations, and businesses with accurate information about rights, resources, and options related to disability and independent living.
Independent Living Skills
The WILL Center’s Transition Services support individuals with disabilities through key life
changes. We assist youth transitioning to adulthood, help individuals move from nursing facilities back into the community, and provide resources to prevent unnecessary institutionalization.
Our goal is to
ensure every person has the support they need to live independently and thrive.
Advocacy
Our staff works closely with individuals to help them access the services and supports they need, while also teaching self-advocacy skills.
We also advocate at the local, state, and national levels to remove barriers and promote equal access.
Peer Support
We offer one-on-one peer mentoring or referrals to support groups. Our trained peers, who have lived experience with disability, provide practical advice and emotional support.
